About St. Barnabas Orthodox Mission Orphanage & School
St. Barnabas Orthodox Mission Orphanage and School is a Child-Advocacy Ministry that pairs able people with those who have been hit by the wave of poverty. The organization helps impoverished children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty to new horizons of hope. The goal is to enable these children to become future responsible and fulfilled Kenyan citizens with dignified lives.
This school has grown from modest beginnings. It started when Rev. Father Methodios J.M Kariuki felt compelled to help 13 orphaned kids who were going through straited circumstances in Njabini, Kenya. Today, St. Barnabas's numbers have increased tremendously. There are over 400 children who have benefited from this noble project and are now reaping the broad benefits of one man’s clear, God-given vision.
There are over 270 children in the care of St. Barnabas Orthodox Mission Orphanage and School in Kenya.

There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.
